# Two Species Management Plans (SMPs) one for a critically endangered shrub, the Scrub Turpentine, and the second one for a threatened microbat, the Broad-footed Myotis, was adopted.
These are the first of many SMPs to come.
The report explained the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 has increased the level of protection of threatened species by requiring developers to actively demonstrate that they have taken reasonable steps to avoid and minimise impacts on biodiversity, in particular, threatened species.
